Appointments

Appointments are generally required for routine visits. The veterinarians are not always available; sometimes they are in surgery, or performing medical procedures. Patients with non-urgent problems without appointments will generally have to wait until those with appointments have been seen. We will do our best to fit you into the schedule.

True emergency or medically urgent cases always receive top priority, without an appointment.

We strive to be on time for each appointment and to keep your waiting time to an absolute minimum. (This is another of the reasons for having scheduled appointment times.) We also understand that "things happen", and we appreciate those clients who call and let us know they are running behind.

We can do a "short admission" for those clients who, for whatever reason, are unable to make a timely appointment. Your pet will be admitted and the veterinarian will examine him or her as the schedule allows (usually within 1-2 hours). You will then be contacted by phone with the examination findings and to discuss approaches to treatment. This is often a good alternative to the walk-in appointment, or if you cannot come for one of the available appointment times that day.

Decreasing stress

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. Although your dog may be fine with others, the "other dog" might not be!

All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash. Please keep cats in the carrier until the doctor arrives in the exam room. For most cats this will minimize anxiety.

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard and cash.
